I think Jo In Sung really out did himself here and would watch it again. and the kiss at the beginning is (for me) the best kiss of this year in dramaland! Also, most of the other NHK dramas I've watched have all felt remarkably real-- but in a way that evokes an appreciation of the human experience. Honestly I was angry there about a great movie being ruined so heavily sitting there and kind of screaming "zoomout and pan, goddamnit" to the camera man. Episode One of Yellowjackets Season 2 is a continuation of how the last episode of season 1 ended. Until 2/3rds into the movie I really loved it and was waiting for something to drop the curtain for applause. And yeah, if you compare the movie ending, there were no people around. But, since I am here. Young finally prepares for surgery, as she tells Sun-hee that shes prepared for any eventuality though it would be nice to live through the surgery. Despite the continuous chaos that sears through the film, one of the standout scenes comes at the very close of the film. It's lovely and I don't think you can blow it off as just pretension. Interesting, flawed film with engaging themes and possibilities. Soo does all the talking during dinner and even after, until Young cuts him off by telling him to leave once Lawyer Jang comes back. my friend too had a cancer and took chemo therapy but didn't loose his hair. I loved the emotional humility of Soo's character. Are they still alive? 
Jin-sung arrives in the meantime so Boss Man can declare him Soos gambling partner, and all of Soos huffing and puffing cant reverse the situation now. The ending was real in my opinion. Just like Young, this show grew and developed until about halfway, when it started losing its momentum, getting more secretive, and reverting to bad old habits. I think they are dead. Bo-Katan says that she wants to resume leading her fleet. *sighs* I need the (halmeoni) from Goodbye Solo to comfort me right now, so disappointed am I in the finale and in the drama as a whole. At first I was so upset because I wasn't sure whether Soo was dead or alive, and thought the writer ripped us off with an open-ended ending.
